sigh. be much disturbing.

and this becomes all the more fearful, not because i sell children's books but because i go to our shops and work very hard to convince parents that giving their kids books is the most important, valuable and lasting gift ever. and even after that whole litany, the magical, powerful realm of stories is still not valued.

still, homework, tv, video games, tuition takes priority over a sink-in-your-chair-lose-the-world book.

still, schools see books as means to an end of higher grades, better grammar.

still, having kids own their books is not integral.

do you want to live in a world that is flat? where yellow is yellow and never the warmth of the sun, the quick flit of a bird's wings? where an atom is reductive and never a symphony?

ROAR.
