My mother has to wait till 11am for our case to be mentioned and to occupy ourselves (mainly to distract ourselves) we laughed at people and thought of many things.
Ok lah, I thought she said that. Apparently she said we had to bow to the judge. I didn’t remember doing that the last time we were there. So I stared determinedly at the door and lo and behold, when the door opened the second time, the judge wasn’t even sitting there. My mother.
2.) Then we were waiting for our turn inside the courtroom. (More anecdotes please refer to *). I was crying because Jeanny served him the affidavits and he was very angry. My mother had her arms around me to comfort/console me. My head was on her shoulder and popcorn hair auntie came over and whispered, “Can you don’t do this here, the judge can see one leh.” I looked at her, “She’s comforting me ma’am”. “Yes but the judge can see what you are doing. Not very nice.”
Anecdotes:
- 6 men defaulted their maintenance to their children/ ex-wives.
- One man said he didn’t pay because he had to support his current (therefore newer) family.
- Another insisted that he paid the maintenance for June into the child’s passbook but when the ex-wife produced the passbook, he said he deposited a quick check and it might have gotten lost.
- A man filed a PPO against his ex-wife. We thought that yay! we’ll get to see something different. No such thing. It seems that the lady threatened him with a “malicious” SMS. Calling him a pig (he’s malay, damn offensive lah) and degrading his manhood. Lady pleaded guilty and accepted the allegations.
When asked for an explanation, she said that she is taking care of their children (of whom he has yet to see since the divorce) and he hasn’t given them money. She’s working two jobs. Oh yes, and she has taken out a PPO against him prior to this absurd allegation.
FUCK YOU CREATURES WITH PHALLIC SHAPED APPENDAGES. FUCK YOU.
